RightDome 7

These domes are made of sheet polycarbonate and MDO plywood or sheet PVC. The dome hardware is of aluminum and or stainless steel. The sheet polycarbonate fins are available in bronze, solar bronze, dark bronze, opal, diffused opal and gray.

The Dome is very resistant to the weather. It can be opened and closed in only a few minutes by removing or replacing the stanchions located along the spine of each hemisphere. The dome is shipped as a fully assembled unit that weighs between 60 and 80 lbs. It requires only two people to set it into place.

The base is sold separately. It is comprised of six modular sections that are fastened together with aluminum sexbolts. The door is built into one section and is hung with stainless steel hinges. Bearings are set into the top of the base sections allowing the dome to rotate continuously in a full circle. PVC clamps are provided to keep the dome in place and prevent rotation when not in use.

The space inside RightDome 7 is surprisingly large (approximately 6'-2" across) and will hold a 14" SCT with room for two observers.

RightDome comes in two models.  RightDome  and base use 1/2" and 3/4" MDO (medium density overlay) plywood for all secondary parts.  RightDome Premier Series dome and base use 1/2" and 3/4" sheet PVC for the secondary parts with the exception of the base ribs which are 3/4" MDO plywood.  Both models use sheet polycarbonate for the fins.

A "do-it-yourself" kit containing full size plastic templates, construction drawings and pictures is available for $350.00.

Sales tax will be additional.
Shipping outside of Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island will be additional and will have an added crating charge of $250.00.  A deposit of 50% will be required to place an order with the balance, plus tax, crating and shipping, due on delivery. Orders will be shipped COD. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery.
